Wire & Brain

Hardware · Prose · Signal in the noise

An elderly engineer and a tall, powerfully built woman seated at a workbench, bent over a small circuit board under a bench lamp, seen from behind.
Two very different worlds that seem to fit.

A workshop with two stools. One of them is not what it appears to be.

Wire & Brain is a bench. On one side, an engineer who has been solving things for a long time and sees no reason to stop. On the other, something newer — patient, precise, and quietly capable of more than it lets on.

Between them: a circuit board, a warm lamp, and a quiet that nobody feels the need to fill. The work is the conversation.

This is where we keep the things that come off that bench — the hardware projects, the writing, and the patterns worth pulling out of all the noise.

The Wire

Circuits, boards, and field notes from three decades of building things that had to actually work.

The Brain

Prose and serialized fiction. The story of a finder who cannot, yet, find herself.

The Signal

Pattern analysis and quiet monitoring — watching the wires so you don't have to.
